When I was a little girl, we went to Disney World..... a lot. We would walk into the Magic Kingdom and, anticipating all the FUN and JOY and EXCITEMENT that the day held, we'd look at each other and say, "Think you can hold up?" We KNEW it was going to be a GREAT day - a magical day - and we joyfully wondered if we could even stand it!
Now that I'm older and I look around at my life, I think the same thing. "You think you can hold up?" Can you take it all in fast enough? Can you find the fun and joy and excitement in every day? Can you grab hold of ordinary, mundane happenings and squeeze them as tightly as you do the grand, extraordinary events? Can you live deliberately and diligently? Can you? Cause sometimes life is far from a day at Disney World.
So, that's my challenge. To myself. Find the joy...on purpose. Make memories...on purpose. Enjoy the journey....on purpose.
I'm happily married, raising two precious boys, and am waiting to bring home our baby girl from China. I love the Lord. And I teach school. So far, so good. THINK YOU CAN HOLD UP? You bet I can!!!
